Honesty, Integrity, and a Passion to Serve

About Me

My name is Kevin Currier and I am a proud Colorado Native and 26-year Law Enforcement Professional. I am an even more proud father of three and step-father to one. My oldest daughter is currently a teacher and received her degree from Regis University, my other children are 13, 10, and 10.

I value family, hard work, and integrity so I moved to Elbert County because I saw those same values reflected in this community. Exploring different towns and meeting business owners has only further solidified my appreciation for the rural lifestyle in the place I now call home.

Why I Want to be Your Sheriff

I believe in leading through honesty and integrity and that comes from experience.

I began my career in 1995 with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, retiring in 2019. In my time with Adams County, I held the positions of Commander of Investigations, Coordinator for the 17th Judicial District Critical Incident Investigative Team, Detective Sergeant, Patrol Sergeant, SWAT Operator, SWAT Negotiator, Detective, Patrol Officer and Field Training Officer. These positions have equipped me with the critical thinking, problem solving, and training skills needed to excel in challenging roles.

In 2019, I took a position with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office in the Court Security Section. Arapahoe County is part of the 18th Judicial District, which also includes Elbert County. Through my time in this role, I have developed lasting relationships with current and former Sheriffs, Judges and Prosecutors.

I want to be your Sheriff because I know how challenging the position is and I have the experience that enables me to advocate for the people of Elbert County while protecting and preserving constitutional liberties.

I want to hear from you.
